When you contact us or suggest someone to interview, we may collect names, contact details and the information you choose to provide. If you take part, we may also hold interview recordings, films, photographs, relevant background information and signed permissions.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange and produce interviews, stay in contact about participation, share stories where authorised, and preserve project materials with appropriate archive partners.
Who receives it and how long we keep it
We do not sell personal information. We may use trusted providers for hosting, storage and publishing, and share agreed materials with archive partners where appropriate. We protect information and keep it only as long as needed, recognising that some authorised films and archive materials are intended for long-term preservation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict its use, or object to certain processing. Contact info@astorywelltold.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
