A STORY WELL TOLD

A Story Well Told! came from something quite personal.

André had a great aunt, Joanie, who lived to 101. She had an incredible life and so many stories, and he always thought there would be time to sit down with her and record them. There wasn’t.

That stayed with him, and was really where the idea for A Story Well Told! began.

Damian had a very different experience. When he was at school, he interviewed and recorded his grandad talking about his life. Years later, he still has that recording.

One conversation was captured and kept. The other is something André wishes he’d had.

That’s a big part of why A Story Well Told! exists.

André & Damian

We’ve known each other for years and have both spent much of our working lives behind a camera — André as a photographer and director, and Damian as a photographer and filmmaker working across film and sound.

A Story Well Told! brings those things together. We get to meet people we might otherwise never have met, sit down with them and hear about their lives.

And hopefully create something they, their families and the people around them will enjoy for many years to come.
