About CHRIS
Chris grew up in Tottenham as part of one of the area’s early Greek-Cypriot families, witnessing the community grow and change around him. His life has taken him through an extraordinary range of experiences — from child acting and the West End to tailoring, modelling, factory work, HGV driving and hospital work. Along the way, he has seen Tottenham transform from a place of cinemas, department stores, clubs, dance halls and lively streets into the neighbourhood it is today. His memories are full of humour, colourful characters and remarkable stories, capturing not only his own journey but a vivid portrait of the Tottenham he grew up in.

CHRIS’ STORIES WELL TOLD
Surrounded by 12 Police Cars
& 15 Attack Dogs at 4 AM
Driving heavy goods vehicles in 1984, Chris backed into a dark factory yard in Wolverhampton in the early hours of the morning. Within seconds, armed police cars and attack dogs swarmed him, believing they had caught a massive burglary in progress.
From Betting Shops to Billboards
Chris recounts drinking with agency agents in Fitzrovia when an American photographer asked him to find “heavy Mafia-type guys”. He hunted down intimidating characters in local betting shops, pulled off a scary photo shoot in an alleyway, and ended up featured on a poster all over London.
